Jal Shakti Vibhag

This department was not independently in existence before 1994 as all the works viz roads, buildings, bridges, water supply schemes, irrigation schemes, etc. We're been executed under the control of the Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department. On dated 27/04/1994 all the assets and establishment were bifurcated among both departments. Since then this department has been functioning as "Irrigation and Public Health Department" which has been renamed "Jal Shakti Vibhag" in 2020. This department is executing Water Supply Schemes, Irrigation Schemes, Flood Protection Works, and Sewerage Schemes.
